Mbappe buys football club

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has made headlines by purchasing the French professional football club, Caen. At just 25 years old, Mbappe, currently the highest earner at Real Madrid, has struck a deal to become the majority owner of Caen.

According to Le Parisien, the French captain will invest just under €20 million to acquire the majority of the club’s shares. Pierre-Antin Capton will retain the remaining shares, valued at €5 million.

Caen, which competes in the French Ligue 2, now finds itself under the ownership of one of football’s brightest stars.
