Macron Reaffirms France’s Eligibility for the 2024 Olympics in Paris
President Emmanuel Macron of France has confirmed that his country is ready to host the much awaited 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Affirming the readiness of the country on Monday while visiting the Athletes’ Village. There are just four days left before the Games start.
“We are ready and we will be ready throughout the Games,” Macron vowed.
“We have been working on these Games for years now and we are at the start of a decisive week which on Friday will see the opening ceremony and then the Olympiad which will be held in Paris, 100 years since the last one,” he said.
The 2024 Paris Olympics mark a historic occasion, as the Games return to the French capital for the first time in a century.
However, the Olympics is expected to attract a surge of international visitors and global attention to Paris. The opening ceremony, scheduled for Friday, is anticipated to be a grand event, showcasing French culture and hospitality to the world.
