Ancelotti Explains Why Osimhen Wasn’t Signed by Real Madrid

Manager of Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti has revealed the reasoning for the team’s decision not to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer.

Osimhen scored 26 goals in 32 games to help Napoli win the Scudetto, and after an incredible season, the striker was linked to a number of elite European teams.

Even though they lost star forward Karim Benzema to Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, Ancelotti stated that Jude Bellingham’s acquisition made up for Benzema’s departure.

“No (we didn’t sign Osimhen) because I think the club thought that Benzema’s absence could be remedied by purchasing (Jude) Bellingham,” the Italian said to Radio Serie A.
