Anambra police arrest dreaded cultists in Ihiala

The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended two ringleaders of a notorious cult group responsible for several killings in Ihiala.

In a press release issued by DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson for the State Police Command, it was disclosed that the culprits were nabbed during a special operation led by the Police Crack Squad deployed to Ihiala under the directive of Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye.

Ikenga elaborated that the operation was strategically planned to enhance security in Ihiala, particularly during and after the festive season.

The arrested cult leaders were identified as Chitana Oha, aged 25, also known as “Kill and Bury,” and Emmanuel Ifeanyi Okonkwo, aged 24, alias “Good and Bad.”

Ikenga said: “Both suspects were arrested at their hideout at Okija within the same Local Government Area.

“The Commissioner of Police who vowed to end the cult related killings in Ihiala same way he stamped out the menace in Awka Capital City has directed the Crack Squad to go all out against the cultists and clip their wings.”

Ikenga quoted the commissioner as assuring members of the public that their security will continue to be the topmost priority of the Command.
